Soccer Zero Glossary
Every term Soccer: Zero players actually use in the lobby, in Discord, and in match comms — defined.
| Term | Definition |

| 5v5 | Five players per side, the standard Soccer: Zero match format. |
| Acrobat | Aerial-focused Style; specialises in headers, rainbow flicks and bicycle kicks. |
| Activator | The player on a team who pops their Flow first; usually the Genius or Striker. |
| Afterburner | Speedster's Flow — +25% sprint and free Dribble use for 5s. |
| Ball Trap | Holding the ball still to bait a tackle, then dribbling out. Lazy Genius bread-and-butter. |
| Beta | The current state of Soccer: Zero — weekly patches, balance changes, occasional resets. |
| Bicycle Kick | Acrobat's signature overhead finisher on lofted balls. |
| Body Block | Standing in a dribble lane to stop the ball carrier without sliding. Zero stamina cost. |
| Brawler | Physical, contact-heavy Style focused on body checks and contested wins. |
| Burst Dash | Speedster's signature ability — extended dribble window. |
| Card Pack | Cosmetic and ability-shard system added in the Lazy Genius patch. |
| Charge | Holding kick to build power before releasing the shot. |
| Cross | A wing pass aimed into the box for a header or volley. |
| Cu77ance | Lead developer of Soccer: Zero (Current studio). |
| Dive | Defensive Q (no ball) input — a goalkeeper-style dive to block shots. |
| Dribble | Q (with ball) — quick burst past a defender with brief invuln. |
| Ego | Blue Lock-inspired concept: every player is the centre of their own story; reflected in the Style system. |
| Eagle Shot | Sniper's signature long-range shot with low drop-off. |
| Fake Cancel | Starting an input and cancelling it to break defensive reads. |
| Field Vision | Genius's Flow — reveals enemies and locks pass arcs to teammates. |
| Flick | Rainbow Flick (Space with ball) — pops the ball over a defender. |
| Flow | A Style's timed power state, activated with R when the meter fills. |
| Fortress | Wall's Flow — doubles body-block hitbox and prevents tackle whiffs for 5s. |
| Genius | Playmaker Style focused on passing, vision and assists. |
| Golden Goal | Sudden-death OT rule — first goal wins instantly. |
| Hang Time | Acrobat's Flow — extended air time on jumps. |
| Header | Space without ball — jumping to head a cross or rebound. |
| Iso | Isolation — a 1v1 dribble situation, usually on the wing. |
| Kickoff | Match start. Sprinting now is a beginner tell. |
| Lazy Genius | Newest Style — trap-and-read mind-games specialist. |
| Lock-On | Sniper's Flow — held shots show a reticle that fires on-target. |
| Long Pass | Hold RMB — lofted ball over distance, used for through-balls. |

| OT | Overtime — extra time after a tied regulation. |
| One-Two | Wall pass — pass to a teammate and immediately receive back. |
| Pass-Dribble Feint | Tap RMB into immediate Q — breaks defensive reads. |
| Power Shot | Striker's signature full-charge thunder shot. |
| Practice Area | Free-roam lobby zone with goals and dummies for solo training. |
| Reroll | Re-spinning your Style or ability with cash or a code. |
| Rainbow Flick | Space with ball — flicks the ball over a defender. |
| Request Ball | F input — pings teammates to pass to you. |
| S-Tier | The strongest Styles in the current patch. |
| Shoulder Drive | Brawler's signature — body-check that knocks defenders off the ball. |
| Slide Tackle | E — slides to steal the ball. Whiffing causes stun. |
| Sniper | Long-range shooting Style with reduced shot drop-off. |
| Speedster | Winger Style focused on sprint and counters. |
| Stamina | The resource that gates all sprint, dribble and tackle actions. |
| Striker | Forward Style with the highest base shot power. |
| Striker's Eye | Striker's Flow — adds auto-aim assist to shots for 6s. |
| Style | The class-like identity each player picks; defines kit, Flow and progression. |
| Sweat | Slang — a player taking the game extremely seriously, usually grinding ranked. |
| Through-Ball | Genius's signature line-splitting auto-targeted pass. |
| Tier List | Ranking of Styles by current strength. See the meta page. |
| Trap Loop | Lazy Genius's signature — hold the ball still, bait a slide, counter. |
| Wall | Defensive Style focused on tackles, blocks and body-blocking. |
| Wall Stance | Wall's signature — temporary tackle-range buff. |
| Whiff | A missed slide tackle. Punished by stun and a counter. |
